The Overuse of Antibiotics

While antibiotics are a good way to eliminate pain or reduce symptoms you or a child is feeling while sick, they are also very overused which leads to having no effect on the body. Taking the same antibiotic on a routine or an excessive amount will cause your body to create a tolerance for it, which leads to this medication having no effect on you whatsoever. Your body will build a resistance to the antibiotic you are using if you do not absolutely need it or you are continuously using it regularly. When your body builds the resistance to the medication it starts to have no effect on you but without your understanding of what is happening, you may continue to take the antibiotic which then leads to liver damage because of the chemicals that are used to create the antibiotics. When bacteria multiples, it starts to cause you to become sick, leading you to taking the antibiotic and when viruses grow, they have invaded another cell causing for you to be sick. When taking an antibiotic, you are attacking the bacteria that is building up but when you overuse this medication the bacteria "learns" to fight against it. Antibiotics are used to fight bacteria when they start to invade another cell. They are also used for when the bacteria’s start growing to an unhealthy amount in your body which can lead to a more severe sickness.
