Why We Need to be More Thankful for Science

Give Thanks.. For Science

FOR

This past Thursday (November 24th), the United States celebrated Thanksgiving. Most people were enjoying a delicious meal while also enjoying precious time with their families. Some families even share what they are most thankful for. While the typical response is "family", "friends", "health", etc. we should really be thankful for the advancing Science field. The reason for being thankful? Science saves lives. Literally. The science field is complex, with many different aspects to it. The one that I'll be focusing on in this article is the Medical Field, as it, in my opinion has the biggest impact on people.

As you know, the world contains many different life altering diseases such as Alzheimer's and MS, and some are known to be deadly, like cancer. Alzheimer researchers are studying Tau Protein Therapy and Cancer researchers are looking for more and more ways to treat, cure, and prevent the multiple different types of cancer.

With evolving science, we can hope for cures and prevention for diseases such as these. Now, you might be asking whats the point of being thankful for something that doesn't exist, i.e. a cure. But you should be thankful that research is being done on these diseases, that scientists devote their careers to help cure the diseases that maybe your family member either has, or may develop later on in life. Be thankful for the research being done. Be thankful that we are lucky enough to be living in this evolving World, where more and more diseases are being cured daily.
