Is This The Extinction of Tigers?

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/147809/20160407/tigers-declared-functionally-extinct-in-cambodia-heres-what-the-government-plans-to-do.htm

This article is about how Tigers in Cambodia are labeled as "functionally extinct" and how the government plans to fix it. There used to be 20-50 tigers around the Eastern Plains Landscape of Northeast Cambodia but now there has been a dramatic drop. The lack of Tigers there is mostly due to illegal hunting of the species at any age. The government came up with a plan where Tigers from other countries would be sent to Cambodia. They would be relocated to a protected forest called Mondulkiri so they could be safe to live and reproduce. This idea came up to happen in places like India, Malaysia and Thailand as well. This plan will take place by 2017 and will coast up to $50 Million to successfully happen. For this plan to work there needs to be safe environments for the tigers which means attention will be brought to the habitats and the prey surrounding them. It says how Tigers have been classified as nearly extinct and that there are estimated to be about 3,200 left in the world today. Hopefully this plan will work and help save the Tigers!
